Poorman Tournament Trail 2009
Rule Revisions
The Poorman Tournament Trail consists of 12 tournaments this year in
3 divisions: 4qualifying tournaments in each division , and our 2 day
Championship on the Sutton Lake.
The Divisions are set up so that anyone can fish any division, but a
team MUST declare that they are fishing for points in that division at
the first tournament of the season in each division. They winners of each
division will receive the top 3 spots in the Championship according to
the amount of points each team has accumulated. In case of a tie among
the top 3 teams, the tie breaker will be the largest single day bag brought
in by each team. Twelve teams from the Northern and Southern Divisions,
including the Points Champions, will be taken to the Championship Tournament.
We are not paying our Points Champions as we have done in the past. Starting
this season, the winners of each division will be receiving free entry
into that division for the following season. This allows us to put even
more money than before back for that 2 day Championship Tournament, and
allows us to pay out more money to the anglers at each Regular Season
tournament as well.
Rule Changes:
- The entry fees for each tournament will be $70.00 per boat. These
fees have been raised in order to raise money for the Championship Tournament,
with hopes of being able to waive the $100.00 entry fee for that tournament,
allowing those teams that qualify to fish for free.
- Big Bass payout will now be 10% of the total pot. Example: 30 boats
X $70 = $2,100, Big Bass will pay $210. The money saved will now be
going into the payouts for each regular season tournament.
- Team members must be declared by the end of the first tournament in
each division for this season. There will only be 1 alternate allowed
by each team in each division. If an individual decides to fish more
than one division, they may fish that division with another partner,
but is still only allowed 1 alternate.
- The Dead Fish Penalty starting in the 2009 season will be 8 ounces
instead of the 6 ounces it was in the past.
- The Poorman Tournament Trail has instituted a Polygraph Examination
Policy starting in the 2009 Season. The regulations of this new policy
are as follows: The Poorman Tournament Trail Directors shall have the
discretion to determine the need for a polygraph examination. The Poorman
Trail Directors shall be responsible for selecting an independent expert
to administer and interpret the results and establishing, in consultation
with the expert administrator, the scope of the questions which may
be asked during the polygraph examination. The Poorman Trail Directors
shall attempt to have the location of such polygraph examination as
close in proximity to the angler's permanent address or such other mutually
convenient location as possible. The competitor shall make himself/herself
available at the location selected by the Tournament Directors and shall
cooperate in all respects with such examination. Anglers taking a polygraph
examination may be responsible for any and all cost incurred.
